Just a short note to thank you for your time and patience with me on my initial "Discovery" flight with you on Saturday.
I had a thoroughly great time, and have been "buzzed" ever since. The flight was much better than I had even hoped it would be. I expected to be able to do some turns and even experience a stall or two, but to actually get to take off, do the maneuvers, do the stalls and even to land the plane all on my first flight was just a fantastic experience for me.
You were a very informative and patient teacher, and as a teacher, I appreciate the difficulty of letting a student make mistakes while under your supervision. However I was able to discover on my own a number of my own mistakes -- for example forgetting that putting out flaps in the descent would cause a decrease in the rate of descent, at least for a while, and the need to compensate for that."
